My current and past research is on the Latin elegiac poet Ovid, specifically his series of letters written by abandoned heroines called the Heroides.  From strictly poetic interpretations of the letters, I have moved to investigating issues of gender and space in the single letters of the Heroides

I have taught at Concordia University since 1989. After I have held for 7 years the appointment of Associate Dean, Student Academic Services, Faculty of Arts and Science, I am currently the Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning. I have held this appointment since 2013.
